Bissell Proheat Carpet Cleaner Review
The Bissell Proheat Carpet Cleaner is one of the most popular home steam cleaning machines on the market. It combines the power of a 12-amp motor with heated water and surround suction to deep clean carpets and leaves them looking new again.
The Bissell Proheat 2X Carpet Cleaner is an upright model that features a unique onboard water heater. The heater raises the temperature of the hot tap water you add to the water tank by 25 degrees. This helps you remove stubborn stains and ground-in dirt with ease. You also have the option of not using the heater at all for cleaning more delicate area rugs or special upholstery.
The one thing you do not want to do is to add boiling water to the water tank. You could begin melting the bladder inside the tank and ruin it. The other thing is that it will not do a lot of good as the heater automatically heats or shuts down in order to maintain a constant 195 degree temperature.

With the Bissell Proheat models you have a choice of four different cleaning settings. From heavy traffic to a rinse only, you can choose the one you need at the time. On the Bissell 9500 you can also use the CleanShot button to squirt cleaning solution on a particular stain or problem area. It works well and really gets up those stains.
The water tank has a see-through rubber bladder to hold the clean water. Underneath the hard plastic body holds the dirty water. As you use the machine it empties the clean water and pulls up the dirty water. When full, you simply empty it and refill the bladder with fresh hot water.
The DirtLifter brushes feature 10 rows that work to deep clean any type of carpet. You will be able to quickly and effortlessly remove the pet stains, dirt, grease and more.
Another feature with the Bissell Proheat carpet cleaners are the extra attachment tools. It comes with a tough stain tool, bare-floor tool and eight foot hose to use on all types of furniture upholstery, stairs and even car interiors. In fact, cleaning your car seats and carpets is easy with this machine. No more having to go to the auto detailer or just living with the dirty interior.
As with any type or model of carpet cleaner, using a final rinse cycle can be helpful in removing any and all excess detergent. While the machine doesn't leave any detergent behind, I always like to go over one final time with a rinse cycle and get up anything leftover. This extra step is not necessary, but just a thought.
All in all, the Bissell Proheat carpet cleaner does a great job in cleaning your home's carpets and furniture. You will find you no longer need to call out the professional cleaners anymore or rent a machine. This unit does what it says it will do, and does it pretty well.
