The first step to deep cleaning your carpets with the Bissell ProHeat 2x 9200 is to fill the bladder in the water tank full of water. I strongly recommend that you let the hot water in your sink run for a minute or two so that it reaches the hottest possible temperature in your house and then fill the bladder. Once the water tank is safely secured to the carpet cleaner, the on board heater will then heat the water and additional 25 degrees. It will only take it a minute or two to heat up the water so you are not waiting long for it to heat. The additional heat of the water produces a better clean of your carpets and upholstery.
2 in 1 Tank
Bissell has a taken a unique design to the use of the water tank on the Bissell ProHeat 2X upright deep carpet cleaner 9200. It combines the water intake tank and the dirty water collection tank all in one unit. Before you get all nervous about dirty water being in the same tank with the clean water, let me explain how this works.
Inside the water tank is a bladder similar to the CamelBak water drinking bladders you use when hiking. This bladder is filled with the clean water that is used during deep cleaning of your carpets. As dirty water is collected during cleaning, this water is placed in the water tank. The bladder provides separation between the clean water and the dirty water. As you empty the clean water in the bladder, this is collected back in the water tank. I think you have to give kudos to Bissell for coming up with such a clever design for the water tank.
12-inch Cleaning Path
I am a lazy person and I want to complete any cleaning chores as quickly as possible. I am sure that you feel the exact same way because most people hate to clean. Well Bissell has provided a very wide 12-inch cleaning path on the Bissell ProHeat 2X 9200 deep carpet cleaner. Why would the width of the cleaning path be important? It greatly reduces the time that you have to spend cleaning. A wider path means you have to do less passes of the carpet since more of the carpet is cleaned with each pass.
Trial Chemicals Included
Unlike a vacuum cleaner when you can plug it up and start using when you get it home, a carpet cleaner requires a mixture of water and cleaning chemicals to work. Bissell could easily have cut corners and saved pennies by just shipping you the carpet cleaner. Instead they have gone the extra step to provide you with sample chemicals with the carpet cleaner.
